Hey Peter, in a recent topic, you signed off by saying 'greetings from England', are you still here? What are you up to and can we see you play at all? Have you any plans to come back to The Academy to do another workshop?

Thanks for your message ... yes, I'm in England now, on tour with Diana Krall. We're playing a concert here in Manchester this evening (at the Manchester Evening News Arena), and then will be appearing 4 nights (Thursday - Sunday) at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

And, yes, I will be conducting a masterclass at the Royal Academy of Music on Friday, November 5, beginning at 12 noon and lasting until 3 pm.

Final concert date for this tour in England will be on Tuesday, November 9 in Birmingham at the NIA Academy. Concert start times are all at 8 pm.

Cheers for the reply Peter - I'll definitely see you there. I remember your last workshop and it was extremely informative and musical, you speak a lot of sense and play beautifully as always.

Hope you have a good run at The Royal Albert Hall too. It was a pleasure meeting you and chatting.

I especially liked the point you mase towards the end of the workshop. If I may paraphrase you... you said that in all your years of playing the drums, no other musician has ever said "man your right foot is really fast or your singles are lightening!" - It's only the DRUMMERS who are into that. Certainly no singer that you accompany is interested in a drummers chops.

Something to think about and food for thought!!
